For two years now I have been learning to eat healthier on the Body Ecology Diet, which has meant cooking a lot more vegetables. Since I refuse to eat anything unless I love it, I’ve been getting very creative with how I cook. 

Most of us would benefit through healthier eating; unfortunately, “healthy” is often synonymous with “flavorless” and “boring.” I’ll teach you to put pizzazz in your vegetables—in ways that are so amazing they may change the way you eat forever!

 Sample Menu* (we'll cook at least two of the dishes listed below):

Wok-sautéed mixed greens with coconut milk and cinnamon
(may include mustard greens, collards, chard, kale, spinach)

Pan-sautéed green and purple cabbage with cayenne, garlic,
and shitake mushrooms

Baked, layered vegetables with red-skinned potatoes, cumin,
coconut butter, and ghee

Baked, layered vegetables with brown and wild rice, coconut butter, cayenne, and ghee

Pan-sautéed broccoli and cauliflower with anise seed, ghee,
and coconut oil

Pan-sautéed asparagus, zucchini, and carrots with cayenne, nutmeg, garlic, and coconut oil

 *All produce and most flavorings/spices used are organic.

I teach cooking from my home in the San Francisco Bay Area, and am also willing to travel anywhere within a 90-minute drive from my location. The cost is $75.00* per person for one or two participants ($60.00 per person for three or more), which includes the following:

  • Four hours of individualized instruction
  • All vegetables, spices, and other ingredients
  • Your very own recipe cards for each dish
  • Your very own Selene’s Cooking Tips refrigerator magnet
  • A delicious organic vegetarian lunch
  • Leftovers to enjoy later (container provided)
  • Assistance with kitchen cleanup (if taking place at your location)

 * If you prefer fish or chicken with your lunch, the cost will be $85.00 per person ($70.00 per person for three or more); please specify when you register: Vegan, Vegetarian, Fish, or Chicken.
