I love words. I love speaking, editing, writing, performing—
being steeped in words for hours at a time. I love language,
the rhythm of people's speech. I am a connoisseur of sound
and love to to listen to poetry, prose, songs. To me, good
storytelling is priceless in any form.

I am co-host of my own reading series, Oakland S.O.U.P.,
which happens every first and third Thursday, and I am
a very prolific writer. I write at least two poems per week,
and I'm currently working on three novels, one of which
is complete. Songs sneak up on me at any time,
demanding to be sung and writing themselves
as I open my mouth and hear the sounds come out.

I have been published in magazines, journals, and anthologies
from New York City to Benicia, California and I perform
regularly throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.

I love to write and began to teach writing in 2005.
I call my method, "Writing from Your Inner Wilderness."
