Four Slams: Feb. 6,

Come on
out on February 13
for the
annual Erotic Slam!
STARRY PLOUGH
3101 Shattuck Avenue (at Prince Street), Berkeley Hosts: Charles Ekabhumi Ellik, Betsy Gomez and friends I often go to Berkeley Slam to compete for a top prize of $100 in cash! If you want to sign up to slam, get there by 7:15 to make sure you're included in the first drawing! There's a $7.00 cover charge, and the Plough serves good pub food: fish and chips, pizza, burgers and steak fries, sandwiches, salads. I recommend getting to the Plough by 7:30 if you want to get a table for dinner or a seat in the front row (which are the best in the house, in my opinion)!

If you want
to
slam, get there before 7 pm to sign up;
but you don't need to compete! You can read on the
Experimental Open Mic,
and still be involved in the fun while you refrain from
the competition.
**San Francisco Slam could really use your support**
Come
on out and enjoy the slam, support the team
and
help keep the slam scene strong!
The feature on 2/10/08 will be Anis Mojgani,
two-time national indi
slam
champ!
Come on out, support the poets (there's a $6.00 cover, plus snacks and drinks available for purchase). You can sign up for the experimental open mic or even compete in the slam yourself. This is big fun and high energy; you'll have a great time!
